Direct and coordinate the care of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients using established protocols. Collaborate with surgeons to manage patient care and clinical standards.
Requires a Registered Nurse license and one year of experience in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery or advanced practice nursing. A Master's degree in nursing must be obtained within 24 months.
Position Title: Cardiovascular Clinician
Purpose & Scope: The Clinician is to function in an extending role by directing and coordinating the care of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients using protocols and standards which have been developed to direct the management of patient care. The functions are performed in collaboration with cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons.
Master's degree in nursing to be obtained within 24 months.
