Provide spiritual care and counseling to hospice patients, families, and caregivers while coordinating with other spiritual resources. Document spiritual needs in patient charts and assist team members in dealing with grief and spiritual growth.
Requires an ordained minister, priest, rabbi, or certified lay person with at least one year of experience in healthcare or death and dying. A graduate degree in theology or divinity is preferred.
Responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients/families/caregivers, either directly or through the coordination of care with other spiritual counselors.
