Candidates must have an associate degree or equivalent medical credentialing and at least one year of relevant technical experience. Knowledge of surgical pathology, medical terminology, and the ability to handle biological specimens is required.

This role demands a solid understanding of cytology GYN and non-GYN specimen terminology and processing techniques. The incumbent will handle the reception, accession, staining, cover slipping, and labeling of GYN and non-GYN specimens. Adherence to safety practices, equipment maintenance, and maintaining a secure processing environment are paramount. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for positive collaboration within the Cytology Department at PCL.
