Must be a licensed dental hygienist with a valid driver's license and authorization to work in the US. Ability to lift 30lbs and experience in dental assessments is required.
06/15/2026 Total Compensation Estimator ToolJob posting category (Open Competitive) Your Specific Responsibilities: This position serves as an OPS Dental Hyginist on Volusia County's Dental Outreach Program operating in Volusia County. This position offers a fun and exciting work enviornment that is also very rewarding. You will be an instrumental part of breaking down barriers that keep some children from recieving much needed dental care. This position works under the general supervision of the Public Health Services Manager- B SES in the dental outreach program and provides professional support and technical assistance to staff, community agencies and the general public. This position will be assigned to the School Based Sealant Program providing preventative dental services for students inside elementary schools. This position will provide education to community agencies and the public through community events and health fairs in accordance with the mission and vision of the dental program and the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County. This position may at times require working with the Dept. of Health dental clinics located in Daytona Beach and Orange City. This posotion requires travel between multiple work sites. *If you have been licensed to practice dental hygiene in any state for at least 10 years, you may be able to obtain a Limited Dental Hygiene license in Florida and practice dental hygiene for the Florida Department of Health. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to lift 30lbs or more Ability to provide instruction/education to patients in preventative dental health techniques Ability to complete and maintain patients medical records
