Perform examinations to diagnose and treat various foot and leg conditions for residents in long-term care facilities. Provide comprehensive care including prescribing medications, suggesting orthoses, and offering wellness guidance.
Performed examinations on patients’ legs and feet to identify and diagnose various diseases and conditions. Provide treatment for foot and leg injuries, such as fractures, corns, and calluses. Recommend and prescribe medication for relieving joint pain and suggest foot orthoses to enhance mobility and alleviate discomfort. Offer guidance and advice to patients regarding foot care and overall wellness practices. Request additional medical tests as necessary based on the initial assessments.
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree DEA License Long-term care experience Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
