Provides technical support for pharmacy operations in compliance with regulatory agencies and health system policies. Ensures high-quality customer service for patients and other healthcare disciplines while furthering the hospital's mission.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPhT certification, and a valid GA or SC Pharmacy Technician License. Preferred candidates have a Pharm Tech certificate and at least 2 years of experience in hospital practice and aseptic compounding.
Provides technical support for pharmacy operations in accordance with The Georgia State Board of Pharmacy, The Joint Commission, DEA, USP, and any other regulatory and accrediting agencies. Acts in accordance with protocols, health system policies and procedures, applicable standards, and pharmacy best practices. Position is responsible for furthering the hospital's mission, vision, and values. Essential to customer service for other healthcare disciplines and our patients. Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Exceptional organizational skills. Strong interpersonal/communication skills and customer service focus. Attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Math and computer proficiency. CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) acquired from PTCB or NHA. GA or SC Pharmacy Technician License depending on job location. Preferred Requirements: Vocational or technical training or degree: Pharm Tech certificate from accredited school. 2 years or more of experience in pharmacy technician (aseptic compounding, hospital practice). Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Demonstrated commitment to safe medication practices, patient safety. Evidence of self-motivation.
