Travel Occupational Therapist Acute Care Job

• Setting: Outpatient rehabilitation services in the Mammoth Lakes area

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one OT care with 45-minute treatment sessions
• Perform comprehensive OT evaluations and measurements based on the patient’s diagnosis
• Set measurable goals and functional outcomes with input from physicians, patients, and families as appropriate
• Develop a logical, patient-centered treatment program and adjust the plan as needed, at minimum every 6 weeks
• Apply occupation-based therapy techniques and appropriate modalities for the diagnosis
• Document progress and generate timely progress notes to align with physician visits and insurance review processes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to support patient care and discharge planning

Requirements

• Current California OT license (licensed to practice in California)
• Graduate of an accredited OT program
• Outpatient and hand therapy experience required
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, and patients in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
