Requires a Trade School graduate in Radiologic Technology and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Candidates must be ARRT registry eligible and obtain certification within 180 days of hire, unless grandfathered via military training.
Sentara is hiring a Radiology Technologist in the Woodbridge area. This is a Full-Time, Weekend Day Shift opportunity with great benefits. A 20K sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. The Radiology Technologist conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.
