The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasonic procedures according to physician orders to provide high-quality imaging. They are responsible for ensuring patient safety and quality care during these procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound Technology program and certified by the Texas Medical Board. RDMS and ARRT registrations, as well as hospital experience, are preferred.
Under the general supervision of the Imaging Director. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the provision of ultrasonic procedures to patient according to physician orders and provide for patient high quality imaging as well as patient safety and quality care. Position Qualifications: Graduate of accredited or registered school of Radiology Technology or Ultrasound Technology. Completion of training program in ultrasonic technology. Current registration with A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) preferred but not required. Ultrasound Registry RDMS preferred. Certified by the Texas Medical Board. Previous experience in hospital environment preferred. Registered Vascular Technologist preferred.
This position will require some onsite coverage if we have technologist on Vacation, but it will require mainly a person to cover call no less than one full weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and at least one 16-hour overnight call from 3pm to 7am, per week.
