The phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining and preparing blood specimens from hospital patients for reference laboratories. Additionally, they handle clerical duties, billing, and charting while identifying age-specific patient needs.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a hospital or trauma setting. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and medical ethics is required.
Phlebotomist Full-Time - Overnight Shift 11pm - 7am
Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services.
