The Cardiologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with specialized cardiac conditions using various imaging and testing modalities. They collaborate with a team-based model of primary and specialty care providers to ensure high-quality, connected patient care.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine and be Board Certified or Eligible in Cardiology. Required certifications include BLS, DEA licensure, and Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration.
Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions Develop and implement a plan of care for these patients, as well as prescribe medications, exercises and/or other treatments and testing such as lab sessions & testing include echocardiography, stress testing, vascular ultrasound imaging, nuclear imaging, cardiac device clinic Collaborates with the clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care. Maintaining continuity of care through the exchange of information with outside health and social agencies Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists to consults with providers on issues related to patient care Teaches and counsels individuals and groups with regard to specific health care needs. Serves as an educator in areas of specialization Participates in the development of health education programs

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty The salary range for this role is $393,000 to $735,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
