Engage and inspire members to create and meet their own recovery goals through meaningful conversations. Provide consultation to the team to reinforce a recovery culture and respond to critical situations using high-level de-escalation skills.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED and lived experience as a beneficiary of the Behavioral Health system. Requires a valid driver's license, personal vehicle insurance, and the ability to maintain Peer Certification (PRSS in Arizona).

Peer Support Specialists engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served that assist the person to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Support Specialists provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS), in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Support Specialists respond to critical situations with high level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for individuals experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.
Expected starting wage range is $15.15 - $17.52. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
