This role involves providing a combination of direct patient care and clerical support within the Medical Critical Care Unit (MICU) under the direction of a Clinical Nurse. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean environment, assisting staff and visitors, and managing patient records, supplies, and potentially continuous observation duties.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and require previous comparable acute patient care experience or successful completion of the IU Health PCA education program. A current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA is mandatory, along with basic knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and infection control principles.
