The specialist provides comprehensive social work services, including assessing patient needs and connecting families with community resources for emotional and financial support. They act as patient advocates and collaborate with the medical team to enhance overall patient well-being.
A Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program and appropriate state licensure are required. Preference is given to candidates with 0-2 years of healthcare experience, specifically within oncology.
