Responsibilities

• In this role the Medical Laboratory Assistant will perform the following job duties: Skin punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.
• Prompt accurate processing of test requisitions, accurate charging, registering and ordering tests for outpatients, informing techs of stats and other timed or urgent testing.
• Telephone patients, physicians and nursing units when required.
• Maintains neat and organized collection trays, collection areas and work areas.
• Persons in this position are expected to demonstrate logical, professional behaviors under demanding and stressful conditions.
• Schedule FTE .10 Hours: Variable Days: Variable

• High school education/GED
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Phlebotomy Certification preferred
