The role involves scheduling surgeries and related pre- and post-operative appointments while maintaining accurate records in EMR systems. It also requires coordinating interdepartmental communication and providing clear clinical instructions to patients.
Candidates need 1-2 years of experience in medical scheduling, administration, or clinical roles, preferably in orthopedics. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred along with professional communication skills.
• 1 year medical office scheduling or 1-2 years administration experience or clinical experience (CNA, MA, EMT), preferably in an orthopedic setting.
Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, the insurance authorization process, and EMR systems is preferable
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.
