Job Summary
A licensed practical nurse within a clinic setting is responsible for the application of professional nursing skills by observing/monitoring patient health, assisting in procedures, providing treatments, administering medications, and educating patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. This role involves direct patient care, working with all members of the healthcare team to ensure quality of care is provided to all patients.
LPN-Clinic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing school program required.
Current LPN Licensure with Arkansas State Board of Nursing required.
Technical
Diploma: Practical Nursing required. Associate Degree in Practical Nursing preferred.
BLS required upon hire or obtain prior to patient care
Basic computer, phone, email, and business office equipment knowledge
Is eager to learn and is willing to take instruction and feedback.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to multi-task
Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Able to listen actively and convey information in a stressful situation with tact and compassion

Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
1-year experience working in the clinic setting for which applicant has applied nurse would be assigned or 2 plus years-experience in nurse role in any healthcare setting preferred.
Experience using an electronic health record preferred.
Exercise independent judgement and problem solve preferred.
Strong attention to detail, analytical and time management skills preferred.
Strong work ethic preferred.
Able to champion teamwork and cooperation throughout the practice network preferred
