We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced veterinary environment where teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential. Team members play a direct role in patient care by assisting doctors with exam room appointments, educating clients, and helping create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care. This role requires flexibility in scheduling across our full range of operating hours as well as the ability to float between our hospital locations (all within a 15-mile radius). Schedules vary based on business and patient care needs and are not fixed week to week. This position requires consistent availability- not compatible with an in-person school schedule or long-term schedule restrictions.
·Collect vital information on animals' health and record electronically. ·Assist veterinarians during examinations. ·Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians. ·Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies. ·Take radiographs and collect laboratory samples for testing. ·Provide supportive care for hospitalized pets. ·Educate clients about products and services. ·Maintain a clean and organized work environment. You must be able to help restrain large animals, help carry heavy loads, and be on your feet for extended periods. ·CVT, LVT, or RVT credential preferred and accompanied by increased pay. $33,280 – $40,560. Hourly is $16/hr - $19.50/hr. Placement within range is determined by licensure and experience, with Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs having passed VTNE) qualifying for the higher end of the scale.
