The Pharmacy Technician provides complete pharmaceutical services under the supervision of a pharmacist, specializing in obtaining prior authorizations for prescriptions. This involves coordinating closely with physicians, insurance companies, and pharmacies to ensure patient approvals.
Candidates must be high school graduates with a current pharmacy technician registration and a Tennessee driver's license. Certification as a CPhT and previous experience in hospital pharmacy or with Omnicell are preferred.
