Podiatrist - P/T

PODIATRIST An established outpatient clinic in Rockland County, NY is seeking an experienced Podiatrist to provide preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of problems affecting the feet, ankle, and lower legs.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses, treats, or prescribes treatment of the foot, ankle, and other related. structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results. Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery and sets fractures. Administers medications and local anesthetics. Orders additional medical tests (like X-rays, ultrasounds etc.) to form a better diagnosis if necessary. Refers patients to other physicians or specialists for consultation in an inter-professional manner. Advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems. Completes clinical notes within a timely fashion for each patient visit. Displays a positive, professional, and respectful demeanor at all times toward fellow staff members, peers, professional contacts, and patients served.

Requirements

Must be fully licensed to practice in the state of NY Board certified DPM Degree DEA certificate 2 + years of experience as a Podiatrist Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment Ability to communicate clearly and concisely Excellent bedside manner, empathy, and patience Up-to-date knowledge of latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry Offer: Excellent hourly rate Malpractice coverage Flexible schedule Opportunity to learn and expand expertise We will provide a medical assistant, equipment, supplies and perform all administrative functions (including coding and billing).
