Position Summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Urologic Oncology Surgeon to join an established and expanding group practice in the beautiful state of Washington. Practicing within a Commission on Cancer (CoC)-accredited comprehensive cancer program, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized, evidence-based, and compassionate care for patients across all stages of urologic cancer.Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat disorders and cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular malignancies.

Perform advanced procedures such as radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and cystectomy, often utilizing minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques to enhance precision and recovery.

Interpret diagnostic imaging and lab results related to endocrine disorders.

Develop and manage pre- and post-operative care plans.

Work closely with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and primary care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case reviews.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Ensure adherence to surgical safety protocols and institutional policies.

Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, risks, and recovery expectations.

Stay current with advancements in urological oncology through continuing education.

Mentor residents, fellows, or junior staff as applicable.

Participate in clinical trials or research initiatives aimed at improving surgical outcomes and techniques (if applicable).

Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Board certified/eligible in Urology at time of employment
  • Successful completion of a residency program
  • Successful completion of fellowship accredited by the Society of Urologic Oncology
  • Current licensure in Washington State by the time of employment
  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations

  • We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.
  • As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position.
  • The pay scale is $560,000.00 - $625,000.00 USD.
  • However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
  • If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
