Manage the care of pediatric and adult patients requiring difficult venous access, including the placement and maintenance of central venous catheters, PICCs, and midlines. Provide essential education to patients, families, and medical staff regarding the care of peripheral and central lines.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing, current Texas or Compact licensure, and BLS certification. Candidates must have at least 9 months of professional nursing experience and pediatric experience.
We are searching for a Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Access Team - to perform all tasks necessary to manage the care of pediatric and adult patients needing difficult venous access, care of the central venous catheter, PICC, and midline ensuring quality patient care while minimizing related complications. The vascular access nurse will also provide education to patients, families, medical, and nursing staff in the care of peripheral and central lines. Job duties are performed in a manner that is developmentally age appropriate for the patients served including the neonate, infant, child, adolescent, and adult.
