Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Part Time

• Work Environment
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
• The incumbent may be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, employees, family members and the general public; maybe subject to physically aggressive residents.
• The incumbent is subject to flexible hours including split shifts and varied days and times including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends depending on program needs.

• Required Education and Experience
• High School Diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.), or equivalent required
• Must have legal status to work in the U.S.
• Must submit and pass a background study with the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services (employer paid)

• Preferred Education and Experience
• High School Diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.), or equivalent required -1 year or more experience as a DSP, PCA, or HHA working with persons with Developmental Disabilities, Mental Illness, and/or Chemical Dependency
• Valid MN Driver's License, insurable driving record and reliable transportation

• Licenses/Certifications
• Must be able to complete Olu’s Home, Inc. training programs and successfully pass associated tests to meet competency requirements to administer medication and pass CPR/First Aid Certification (employer paid)
