Administers care, treatment, and medication to residents while monitoring vital signs and nutritional status. Provides supervisory duties, trains staff, and coordinates with physicians to ensure resident well-being.
Requires a valid RN license to work in the state of Virginia and knowledge of pharmacology and emergency procedures. Must be physically capable of lifting over 50 pounds and performing active duties throughout the day.

EOE Administers care, treatment and medication to residents Monitors and records residents’ medical/vital signs; Trains and provides direction for appropriate staff in basic bedside nursing care Assists with transportation of residents as needed Administers emergency care to residents as needed Draws blood and collects lab specimens as ordered by physician Orders medications and supplies Communicates pertinent information to physicians and lead nurse/nurse supervisor Monitors residents' nutritional status and intake Administers tube feedings Implements immediate procedures to effectively deal with aggressive or agitated residents Prepares reports as required Assumes duties of charge nurse as required Provides supervisory duties and in-service training as required
A valid RN license to work in the state of Virginia. Knowledge of emergency transference procedures Knowledge of pharmacology as applied to preparing and distributing medications Ability to meet the special needs of elderly and disabled residents Ability to interact with residents and fellow staff members in a pleasant manner Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports Ability to train and supervise personnel While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients/residents weighing over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
