Job description

Description The Hurtt Family Health Clinic is looking for full-time certified Medical Assistants to provide high-quality patient care by working alongside providers and other support staff to help facilitate the delivery of quality clinical care and a positive patient experience.

All Medical Assistants must be bilingual in Spanish and English.

This position is full-time with a schedule of Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with occasional weekend hours for a rotating Saturday morning shift (Saturday 8am-12pm) approximately 2-5 times per year.

The best candidate for this position

is bilingual in Spanish, including medical terminology is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant with a certificate from an accredited program, Certification Number, and current BLS certification has previous successful experience working in a medical clinic or healthcare environment has basic typing, telephone technical, and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel). What
You'll Do: Job Responsibilities & Duties The Medical Assistant’s primary job function is to work as part of the primary care team to provide high quality, efficient and service oriented patient care while demonstrating the health center’s core values. The MA works alongside physicians, mid-level providers, behavioral health professionals, registered nurses and other support staff to delivery direct patient care services. The Medical Assistant is responsible for executing standing orders as well as anticipating the needs of the care team in order to help facilitate the delivery of quality clinical care and a positive patient experience. The MA is responsible for actively participating in the health center’s quality and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Education Medical Assistant certificate CPR/BLS certification Bilingual in English and Spanish Ability to commit to a full-time schedule of Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

Preferred Qualifications

One year experience or training in a health care setting Experience working in an electronic medical record (EMR) is preferred but not required Knowledgeable of State/County program, Medi-Cal, CalOptima, CHDP, CDP, and F-Pact is preferred but not required.
