The APP will assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients with acute and traumatic conditions in the Emergency Department. This involves working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality clinical care.
Candidates must be a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a valid Minnesota license. BLS certification is required, and PALS certification must be obtained within three months of hire.

Join a dynamic pediatric emergency medicine team at Children’s Minnesota! We are seeking a passionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) who enjoys caring for a diverse pediatric population and is committed to delivering exceptional care to children and families.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will practice as an independent clinician while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team. This role is responsible for the direct care and clinical management of pediatric patients at our St. Paul and Minneapolis Emergency Department locations. APPs in the pediatric emergency department practice to the full scope of their licensure within a team-based model that includes both independent patient visits and shared visits alongside an attending physician.
Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage pediatric patients presenting with a wide range of acute and traumatic conditions Obtain histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and implement treatment plans Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions appropriate to the patient population Collaborate with attending physicians, pediatric specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient, high-quality care Schedule Requirements We are open to a range of 0.8 to 1.0 FTE, depending on candidate interest and program needs. Rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays
Current/previous experience in inpatient pediatrics as a nurse, nurse practitioner, or PA preferred. Current BLS certification Current PALS required with 3 months of hire Physical Demands
