Position Summary
The Physician/Gastroenterologist is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. The Gastroenterologist will evaluate and diagnose patients, develop treatment plans, and ensure appropriate follow-up care. This role will also monitor the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as needed. Communication with other physicians, staff, and patients is paramount in this position to ensure that patient needs are met effectively and efficiently.
What you will be doing
Diagnose or treat digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders.
Document or review patients' histories.
Order and interpret the results of diagnostic tests.
Perform diagnostic procedures, such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.
Examine patients using equipment, such as radiograph (x-ray) machines and fluoroscopes, to determine the nature and extent of disorder or injury.
Prescribe or administer medications and treatments to patients.
