The Urologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases of the genitourinary organs and tracts through medical evaluation and surgical procedures. This includes performing various urological surgeries and managing patient care plans in coordination with other healthcare professionals.
Candidates must be board-certified or eligible in Urology with a current California Physician License and DEA License. A minimum of 3 years of experience and completion of a urology residency program are required.
The Physician/Urologist is responsible for providing urological care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation. The Physician follows federal/state laws and regulations to ensure excellent patient relations. The Physician will be responsible for the evaluation and management of patients with urological disorders including, but not limited to performance of cystoscopy, transurethral surgeries, nephrectomy, vasectomy, varicoceles, advanced pediatric surgery, pyeloplasty, epispadias, hypospadias repair, and gender assignment. Communication with other physicians, staff, and patients is paramount in this position to ensure that patient needs are met effectively and efficiently.
