About the role

Provide intermediate technical assistance and supportive patient care within the Emergency Department. Ensure the needs of individual patients are met throughout assigned areas.

Required education / Experience

  • One (1) year of related experience Current BLS Successfully completes UTMB ED rhythm quiz annually
  • Completion of one of the following technical programs: Completion of EMT program or Is enrolled in a recognized School of Nursing and has completed the first semester of education which contains clinical concepts and health assessments or Active state EMS certification in good standing at the date of hire or Recognized military training as a US Army medic, US Navy

Requirements

Requires one year of related experience and a current BLS certification. Candidates must have completed an EMT program, be a nursing student with clinical experience, hold an active EMS certification, or have recognized military medic training.
