What you’ll do
Prepare patients for dental exams, take medical histories, radiographs, and assist the dentist during treatment.
Maintain and sterilize instruments, operatories, and lab areas while ensuring compliance with OSHA and infection control standards.
Support patient self-management goals, provide oral hygiene education, and perform delegated clinical tasks such as sealants, polishing, and impressions.
Manage supplies, purchase orders, and perform equipment maintenance, lab duties, and emergency equipment checks.
Assist team members, train new assistants, and participate in continuing education and workshops.

Requires certifications in BLS, Radiography, Infection Control, Medical Emergencies, and Dental Assisting, along with a valid NC Driver's License. A Dental Assistant Program Diploma and clinical experience in community health settings are preferred.
