Operate x-ray and mammography equipment to produce high-quality images for early detection under the guidance of a radiologist. Manage patient positioning, medical history acquisition, and maintain quality assurance standards and equipment calibration.
Must hold a current ARRT certificate and be willing to obtain Mammography Certification within one year. Requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Responsible for operating x-ray and mammography equipment to produce images for early detection while working with a trained and certified radiologist.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training.
Certificates, licenses, registrations
Must hold a current ARRT certificate and be willing to obtain a Mammography Certification within 1 year. (open to on-the-job training for registered RTs). Must continue to obtain the recommended number of Continuing Educations Credits each year for your certifications. Continuing education in accordance with the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
