A Brief Overview The LPN participates in the provision of nursing care by performing specific activities and technical procedures as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
What you will do Planning and managing patient care according to each patient’s needs Interviewing patients and recording their medical history Obtaining patient vital signs and escorting patients to their rooms Administering injections of medications Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately Observing and recording patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
Education Qualifications Diploma as a Practical Nurse
Skills and Abilities Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers. Epic experience preferred. Strong PC skills preferred.
Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years is Required Licensed Practical Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation with South Carolina Board of Nursing.
Candidates must hold a Practical Nurse diploma and a valid LPN license from the South Carolina Board of Nursing. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
