The Monitor Technician is responsible for the continuous surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and remote telemetry. They must provide immediate notification to RNs and clinicians regarding any changes in cardiac rhythms.
Requires one year of experience as a Monitor Technician and completion of a basic arrhythmia course. Candidates must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and possess visual color acuity.

The Monitor Technician is responsible for the ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.
REQUIRED One (1) year of experience as a Monitor Technician Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or equivalent coursework. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units. PREFERRED CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) Certification through CCI.
