Requires a high school diploma and at least one year of experience in a health-related field. Candidates must possess BCLS certification and pass an arrhythmia exam with 90% within three months.
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time Monitor Tech for our Remote Monitoring Department. The Monitor Tech is responsible for continuous observation of the cardiac rhythm of telemetry monitored patients in the assigned area. Provides immediate attention to any change in the monitor pattern and notifies the charge nurse or designee from the appropriate nursing unit.
High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and basic computer skills. Must pass an arrhythmia exam (90%) within the three month introductory period.
Minimum of one year experience in a health related field.
Evidence of skills in communication; attention, and initiative; ability to apply knowledge and express ideas both written and oral; ability to relate well with co-workers at all levels and work as part of a team; must be flexible, have problem solving skills, be a self starter and have the ability to prioritize; be emotionally stable, poised and self confident; possess mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the job. BCLS required.
