Provide safe, age-specific nursing care to patients in a surgical oncology and MICU stepdown unit using the nursing process. Deliver relationship-based care and collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Requires a Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program and a BLS Provider Certification. Candidates must obtain an Ohio RN license if not already held, with a BSN and prior related clinical experience preferred.
The UH Cleveland Medical Center – Seidman Cancer Center 6 is a 30 bed Surgical oncology/MICU stepdown. SCC 6 has 24 beds that specialize in gynecologic cancers, Whipple/pancreaticduodenectomy procedures, brachytherapy treatment, breast, plastic surgery, & telemetry monitoring. SCC 6 is unique in that we have 6 designated MICU stepdown beds that specialize in treating patient with complex respiratory, gastro-intestinal, endocrine, renal, and metabolic conditions which require MICU step-down level of care Click Here to learn more about this unit. License & Certification Requirements An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance. Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.
