JOB SUMMARY Works under immediate supervision to provide clerical and/or typing support in performance of variety of office duties which may be simple to moderately complex in nature.

• JOB DUTIES Assists and trains in aseptic recovery of corneas, sclera, skin, bone/connective, and cardiovascular tissue.
• Supports tissue recovery team by: Gathering supplies/equipment Cleaning recovery site (pre/post) Collecting blood/tissue samples Performing physical assessments Preparing donor (shaving/cleansing) Recovering tissues aseptically Labeling/packaging tissues Assisting with donor reconstruction Preparing tissues for shipment Learns to independently recover ocular tissues.
• Cleans, packages, and sterilizes instruments per OR and TSC standards.
• Assists with packaging tissues for shipment per storage needs.
• Ensures complete and accurate documentation.
• Various administrative and clerical assignments filled on an as needed basis.
