Provide direct care, crisis intervention, and behavioral support for youth in a residential substance use disorder treatment program. Monitor patient conditions, assist with recovery goals, and coordinate care with families and providers.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in human services. A valid driver's license and experience with adolescents in behavioral health settings are preferred.
Job duties include: Provides, assists with, or coaches individuals on personal care needs with limited supervision; provides crisis interventions (including evidence based practices to maintain the safety of individuals); monitors youth interactions and behaviors; monitors medication administration as prescribed; monitors and documents mental and physical condition of individuals. Teaches, coaches and provides guidance and support on various skills to enable productive lives of individuals; assists youth with managing their emotions, assists and supports individual treatment/recovery goals and assist youth in developing positive coping skills; develops and maintains a positive and effective relationship with service recipients, families, and other service providers. Organizes and participates in meetings related to care coordination; completes documentation for direct services provided to ensure timely and accurate completion. Transports individuals receiving services to appointments, activities, and/or work. Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working in a human services field are required. A valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is preferred. Experience working with adolescents in a behavioral health setting is preferred. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
