Job Description

Job Purpose Assist in performing diagnostic imaging procedures across various modalities, supporting patient care, safety, and comfort Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. Job Requirements: Education: Final year of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program Licenses and/or Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Eligible for ARRT (R) certification upon graduation Work Experience: Clinical rotation experience through an approved educational program Will be required to obtain modality-specific certifications (CT, MRI, or Mammography) within 1 year of orientation, based on assigned modality Job Roles: Clinical Support: Assist with imaging procedures under supervision including patient positioning, equipment operation, and image acquisition Verify patient identification and procedure accuracy; obtain informed consent when required Provide patient education and ensure comfort throughout procedures Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques during all patient interactions Modality Exposure: CT: Observe and assist with imaging and interventional procedures under CT guidance MRI: Assist with MRI exams, patient screening, and safety protocols Mammography: Support screening and diagnostic mammography procedures; prepare patients and maintain compliance with MQSA standards Methodist Health System is a faith-based organization with a mission to improve and save lives through compassionate, quality healthcare.
