The Registered Nurse coordinates a patient-care team to provide a full range of clinical services and implement care plans. They assess patient and family needs across various age groups while ensuring environmental safety and effective communication.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with at least 2 years of acute care experience and a CA State RN license. A CWOCN certification and one year of specialized wound care experience are preferred.

Summary The Registered Nurse role focuses primarily on the clinical direction and coordination of a patient-care team in collaboration with the medical staff to provide a full range of patient services. The Registered Nurse will function within the full scope of licensure to provide patient care; assess patient and family needs; implementation of the plan of care; and, review and evaluate the effectiveness. The Registered Nurse also provides care based on the age-related needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient with consideration of their developmental/psychosocial needs, environmental safety, education needs, communication style and level of understanding.
EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. EXPERIENCE 2 years of experience as a registered nurse providing specialized care for patients in an acute care setting. DEPARTMENT-SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE One year of experience as a Wound Care RN in a clinical, active in the care of wound care patients - Preferred LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS Registered Nurse - CA State Licensure - RN Basic Life Support Certification - BLS DEPARTMENT-SPECIFIC LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse - CWOCN SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Must have demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills and effective English written and communication skills. Independently practices and prioritizes multiple demands in an ever-changing environment. Good interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and teamwork skills are required.
