Perform preliminary screening examinations and diagnostic tests to assist physicians in evaluating patient eye problems. Manage patient flow, maintain exam rooms, and handle related clerical duties and medical record filing.
Requires a high school education and certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) from JCAHPO. Candidates must have BLS certification and either one year of related experience or graduation from an accredited Ophthalmic Technician program.
