Provide direct nursing care, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs for residents in a skilled nursing environment. Supervise nursing assistants and maintain accurate medical records to ensure high-quality resident care and safety.
Must hold an active State of Michigan LPN license and a CPR certification. Requires a minimum of one year of experience working with the frail and elderly population.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Kresge Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, you’ll provide direct, hands-on nursing care focused on quality, treatment, and resident comfort. You’ll administer medications, perform treatments, monitor vital signs, and assess residents to identify changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with the care team. In this role, you’ll observe and respond to residents’ needs, support care plan updates, and help maintain a safe, compliant environment through proper documentation and infection control practices. You’ll also play a key role in supporting and guiding nursing assistants while helping ensure smooth daily operations, including admissions and discharges. Your clinical expertise and attention to detail will help deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for each resident while maintaining the standards of care expected in a skilled nursing environment.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Active State of Michigan LPN License. CPR certification required or willing to obtain upon hire. Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with the frail and elderly. Tasks involving more than 50 lbs. require assistance or assistive equipment for safe performance.
