Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (1099 Independent Contractor) Crosswalk Behavioral Health LLC is a growing private practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. We are currently seeking a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the State of Florida to join our expanding team.

The Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern will provide outpatient counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families while practicing under supervision requirements established by the State of Florida. This role offers flexibility, clinical support, and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative private practice environment.
Provide counseling services to children ages 5 and older, adolescents, adults, couples, and families Conduct individual, family, and couples counseling sessions as clinically appropriate Provide services through in-person and telehealth platforms Maintain availability for evening appointments (up to 7:00 PM) and limited weekend hours based on client needs Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation within established timeframes Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with payer requirements, ethical standards, and Florida regulations Collaborate with colleagues and referral partners to support continuity of care and treatment outcomes Participate in supervision and consultation activities in accordance with Florida requirements for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns Maintain ethical, professional, and culturally responsive clinical practice
Required Qualifications: Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in good standing in the State of Florida Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution Experience working with children (ages 5+) and families Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain documentation deadlines
Experience providing services through telehealth platforms Experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, or family systems Training in evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, etc.)

This position is classified as an Independent Contractor (1099) role. Contractors are responsible for maintaining all required Florida registrations, liability insurance, supervision arrangements, and professional obligations associated with independent practice requirements.
