Administers nursing care to a diverse patient population from newborn to geriatric using a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. Prioritizes care needs based on assessments and implements treatment plans according to physician orders and hospital policy.
Requires a high school diploma, an Associate's degree in nursing, and a current Texas RN license. Mandatory certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and NIHSS, with preferred experience in emergency or acute care nursing.
Administers care to a patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric and utilizes a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to ensure that each patient receives nursing care appropriate to his/her illness or injury. Prioritizes patient care needs based on the patient assessment and uses the nursing process to implement a plan of care appropriate to each patient’s needs. Delivers care consistent with the physician’s orders and treatment protocols and in accordance with hospital and departmental policy.
