Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for hospitalized patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide continuous inpatient care and oversee the interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Requires an MD or DO degree, completion of residency and fellowship, and board certification in a relevant medical specialty. Must possess a valid medical license, unrestricted DEA number, and necessary certifications such as BLS or ACLS.
1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). 2. Successful completion of a Residency Program. 3. Successful completion of a Fellowship, if appropriate for medical specialty. 4. Licensure to practice medicine. 5. Board certification in relevant medical specialty. 6. Hospital approved credentials (medical license, clinical privileges). 7. Unrestricted DEA number. 8. Appropriate certificate necessary for area of practice (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, etc.)

Conducts comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests, to diagnose and determine appropriate treatment plans for hospitalized patients. 2. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical condition, co-morbidities, and overall well-being, while collaborating with specialists and healthcare teams. 3. Provides continuous inpatient care by conducting regular rounds, monitoring patients' progress, assessing response to treatment, and addressing any complications or changes in their conditions. 4. Prescribes and administers medications, therapies, and medical interventions according to established protocols, ensuring accurate dosages and timely administration. 5. Performs various medical procedures and interventions within area of expertise. 6. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other relevant investigations, to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment monitoring. 7. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated patient care, discuss treatment plans, and address any clinical concerns. 8. Communicates effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. 9. Educates patients and their families on self-care, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and post-discharge instructions to facilitate their understanding and active participation in their healthcare. 10. Documents accurate and complete medical records, including patient histories, physical examination findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with legal and ethical standards. 11. Participates in hospital committees, case conferences, and multidisciplinary rounds to discuss complex cases, review treatment outcomes, and contribute to the overall quality improvement of patient care. 12. Attends conferences, seminars, and continuing medical education programs to stay updated on the latest medical research, guidelines, and advancements in the medical field. 13. Adheres to hospital policies and protocols, including infection control measures, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory requirements, to ensure a safe and conducive healthcare environment. 14. Provides leadership and supervision to medical residents, interns, and medical students, offering guidance, mentorship, and support in their clinical learning and professional development. 15. Maintains professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality in all aspects of patient care, promoting trust, empathy, and respect in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues. Physical Requirements: 1. Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking. 2. Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfer patients and equipment. 3. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. 4. Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, sick patients, bodily substances, noise and possible exposure to radiation, lasers, electric shock etc. 5. Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne diseases and other transmissible infections. 6. Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances including interhospital transport in emergency vehicles, ambulances, helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. 7. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. 8. Handle emergency crisis situations. 9. May have contact with hazardous materials Skills & Abilities: 1. Demonstrated clinical competence and expertise in managing acute and chronic medical conditions. 2. Ability to provide patient care throughout the life span, with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process. 3. Effective Interpersonal skills needed for interacting with physicians, staff, patients and their families. 4. Excellent analytical skills needed for evaluating patients and determining appropriate treatment(s). 5. Maintains sensitivity and flexibility in coping with difficult situations. 6. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate medical records. 7. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. 8. Adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality guidelines.
