Royal Oak Inpatient Pharmacy - Full time, rotating shift About the Unit Our team is comprised of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Our inpatient pharmacy team collaborates closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management for hospitalized patients.
We oversee the medication storage, distribution, and management in a variety of settings.
We review medication orders for accuracy and potential interactions, accurately prepare and dispense medications, provide evidence-based drug information, monitor drug levels to optimize therapy, and educate patients and families about their medications.
By prioritizing medication safety and minimizing adverse events, we strive to improve patient outcomes and contribute to their overall well-being.

Scope of Work Under the direction and supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of functions related to preparation, storage, distribution and dispensing of prescriptions.
Within the Hospital, rotation through IV admixture and unit dose service is routine.
Rotation to OR Pharmacy Services and Outpatient Pharmacy Services may be required.
Performs data entry and other record keeping functions as determined to be necessary to the operations of the department.
Qualifications Required A level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a general high school diploma program or GED.
Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience and/or graduate of an ASHP accredited technician training program.
