Why Our Veterinary Team Loves Heritage Animal Hospital Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance Supportive, positive, and collaborative team culture Opportunities to use your veterinary skills to better your community Lunch breaks on the regular Occasional coffee runs, ice cream parties, and meals on us Rotating Saturday shifts with no nights, on-call shifts, or holiday hours Mentorship and support as you grow your career A clinic culture that celebrates your unique awesomeness What You’ll Do Safely handle and restrain patients during examinations and procedures Support preventive care, vaccinations, and patient wellness services Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures Place IV catheters and provide preoperative patient care Obtain diagnostics including radiographs, phlebotomy, sample collection, and in-house laboratory testing Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members Maintain accurate patient records and client communications Refill medications and review instructions with pet owners Assist doctors and technicians with treatments and procedures Maintain clean, organized kennel, laundry, and treatment areas Restock supplies and support overall hospital operations Provide a calm, caring presence for pets and their families What Our Veterinary Team Members Bring Previous Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician experience preferred Experience administering medications and handling patients safely Strong technical and patient care skills Excellent communication and client service abilities Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday CVT/LVT credentials are a plus but not required Dedication to continued learning and professional growth Benefits You Can’t Beat Financial Benefits A flexible approach to compensation that will reflect your skillset and future performance 401(k) matching & Roth Retirement Savings Plan Flexible Spending Account (full-time only) 529 Savings Plan Tuition Support Program (full-time only) Referral bonus program Wellness Benefits Health Insurance, including medical, dental, and vision (full-time only) Supplemental insurance, including accident, critical illness, hospital, short and long-term disability, legal plan, and employee, spouse, and child-dependent life insurance (full-time only) Up to three weeks of full pay for the birth or adoption of a child (full-time employees only; available after one year of service).
