Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and a valid Ohio Driver's License for at least 2 years. Direct support professional experience is preferred.
As a Part-time Float Support Specialist/ Community Engagement Specialist, you will provide consistent, person-centered support that helps individuals with developmental disabilities build skills, confidence, and community connection. This role exists to ensure program coverage across adult day rooms while strengthening participation in meaningful local activities.

Daily Program Flow As a Part-time Float Support Specialist/ Community Engagement Specialist, you’ll focus on keeping the day structured and supportive—helping participants stay engaged in activities, practice daily routines, and transition calmly between tasks. When community participation is planned, you’ll assist with preparation, safe transportation, and respectful interaction at local sites. You’ll monitor preferences and comfort levels throughout the shift, document key observations, and close out by communicating updates so the next staff member can provide seamless support.
