Conduct thorough patient intakes, screenings, and assessments for children with neurodevelopmental differences. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide medical management, nutrition support, and ongoing education for families.
Requires a current unrestricted license as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner with at least 24 months of outpatient pediatric experience. Proficiency in ADIR/ADOS diagnostic evaluations and experience prescribing pediatric medications are required.
Cortica is looking for a full time Site Nurse Practitioner to join its growing team in Warren, NJ! In this role, you will conduct thorough patient intakes, screenings, and assessments, considering the unique needs of each patient and their family.
You will also provide ongoing education to families and work closely with other specialists to offer comprehensive care, including nutrition evaluation, dietary support, and ongoing medical management.
You are knowledgeable regarding diagnoses and therapies for the following conditions: Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Speech and Language delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, Headaches, Insomnia, Epilepsy (seizure action plan, safety), sensory processing disorder and other neurodevelopmental diagnosis. You have a minimum of 24 months in pediatric practice in an outpatient setting (pediatric or family nurse practitioner), preferably behavioral neurology and/or Neurodevelopmental Medicine (NDM) and pediatric behavior disorders, including autism.
You have experience prescribing medication within a pediatric outpatient setting.
You are proficient in ADIR/ADOS diagnostic evaluation (Gold standard). You hold a current and unrestricted license and/or certification that is required to practice within your clinical domain and obtain cross-state licensure in new states as indicated by the current business needs. You have a knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
