Description The Registered Cardio Sonographer performs transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophogeal echocardiograms, treadmills, cardiac stress test (including exercise, pharmacologic, and nuclear medicine), 12-lead electrocardiograms, peripheral arterial studies using segmental pressures, and Holtor Monitor (application and scanning). Has full access to patient health information.
Successful completion of an accredited echocardiography program or minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in an acute care setting. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Computer skills preferred. Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
