The Certified Medical Assistant supports nursing staff and providers in an orthopedic clinic to ensure efficient operations. Key duties include returning phone calls, assisting physicians with exams, and administering special procedures.
Candidates must hold a current licensure from the Board of Certified Medical Assistants and obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire. One year of experience in a medical office or hospital setting is preferred.
Working under the supervision of the physicians and Clinic Supervisor, the Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting nursing staff and providers with patient care and other duties associated with efficient running of the clinic. Phone calls are returned. Physicians are assisted with exams. Special procedures are administered according to clinic policies.
